Welcome to my new website where you can find details of my soft furnishings, fabric and interior design services. Whether you simply need help sourcing furnishing fabrics or would like more extensive interior design advice we are happy to help. If you live nearby, I am always happy to invite customers over to browse my fabric collections. Just call or email to make an appointment. Alternatively, I can come to your home (within an hour's drive from Shaftesbury, Dorset) and measure up, show fabrics and discuss requirements.

About
Sophie Perks Ward has worked as a curtain maker and interior designer for many years and is best known for her relaxed country style with influences from Scandinavia, France and her native England. Having run her own interiors shop in Dorset for five years, she now focusses on her bespoke soft furnishings and interior design business.
Sophie's home has been featured in The English Home, Country Homes and Interiors and Dorset magazines. She and her team have produced design schemes, curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings for hundreds of homes throughout Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire.
Sophie and her team use traditional techniques and much hand sewing to achieve the highest possible standards of work and, as a result, receive many recommendations from happy customers. We hope to be able to offer you the same high standards of both product and customer service.
Bespoke curtains & blinds
At Sophie Perks Ward we are proud of our excellent reputation for producing beautiful made-to-measure curtains and blinds. With 20 years' experience we understand the importance of using traditional techniques to make hand-stitched curtains so that they hang perfectly; we know that when we hand stitch the pockets to the face fabric on our Roman blinds our customers will marvel at the neat finish with no visible sewing; and that because we use only the best quality linings and interlinings our finished product will last for years to come.

Cushions
As well as our made-to-measure curtain and blind service, we also offer bespoke cushions including:

Fabrics
We have a great selection of fabrics to choose from to suit everything from curtains to loose covers, cushions to fixed upholstery. All our fabrics have been carefully chosen for their high quality as well as stunning design. We have ranges by small independent designers, such as Kate Forman Designs, Vanessa Arbuthnott Fabrics, Ernest and Matilda, GreenGate and from bigger fabric houses like Harlequin and Marvic Textiles. Many of our fabrics are printed on linens, but we also have gorgeous silks, hand-embroidered crewels and unusual textured designs. We also keep a good selection of useful basics for mixing and matching, such as ticking stripes, simple checks, natural linens and utility fabrics.
We are always happy to provide fabric samples free of charge. If you have something in mind, please contact us to request samples or, if you live within traveling distance, make an appointment to come and browse through our books and get the full benefit of our wealth of experience in advising customers and sourcing fabrics.
